Blackwood High School is a co-educational government secondary school located in the charming foothills of Adelaide. The school opened in 1961 and has served the local community for over 60 years, gaining a reputation for high academic standards and excellence underpinned by the school values of Care, Achieve and Respect. Our students study the International Baccalaureate Middle Years Program across Years 8 to 10 and the South Australian Certificate of Education (SACE) in Year 11 and 12. The school is renowned for the Girls Special Interest Netball program which was introduced in 1994 and is endorsed and supported by Netball South Australia (Netball SA). In recent years, we have introduced a successful Girls and Boys Specialist Interest Australian Rules (Football) program. We also offer a wide variety of co-curricula opportunities which enrich our students educational experience. We are very proud of our school and invite you to explore this website to learn more about Blackwood High School.
