Crimson Global Academy (CGA) is Australia’s only internationally accredited private online school with more than 1300 students aged 8 to 18 enrolled worldwide. CGA recently placed in the top 3 for the World’s Best Schools award for Innovation.
In Australia, CGA’s diverse community includes students who need more flexibility due to busy extracurricular schedules (athletes, musicians, performers), families who live rurally or travel regularly or students who simply feel distracted at school and prefer the focused learning environment of home.
Three key aspects sets CGA apart:
- Competency-based learning. Students are enrolled by ability rather than age across all subjects. This is unique to CGA and allows students to advance in subjects they’re strong in or repeat content to rebuild their academic confidence.
- Enrolment flexibility. Students can enrol full-time (4 to 5 hours of class a day) and have CGA be their only school or part-time (2 to 3 hours a week) and join our after school classes in subjects like maths, English or science.
- Small class sizes. CGA’s classes are roughly half that of traditional private schools with an average of 7-10 students per class. Students can also enrol for private lessons covering a year’s curriculum in any subject in a matter of months.
Curriculum
CGA is registered to teach two gold standard international curricula that are widely accepted by universities in Australia and around the world. The International A Levels (Pearson Edexcel and Cambridge International) and the US High School Diploma including Advanced Placement subjects; all of which are regarded for their academic rigour and for helping students pave a path to top universities.
Student life
For socialisation, students take part in a wide range of online activities including Debate Club, Lego Club, CGA Career Fair, CGA Press and e-Sports. There are house competitions, student leadership and study groups while in major cities, students gather for in-person social days.
CGA’s term calendar is similar to the Australian school calendar and early or late enrolments are accepted. All students are given a short and free academic assessment to help determine their best-fit academic level and CGA Admission Officers can provide advice on subject selection and timetables.
