A quick search for Toowoomba reveals 43 schools: 20 government, 13 Catholic and 10 from the independent sector. One of the area’s most well-known institutions, Toowoomba Grammar School, made headlines just weeks ago when it was revealed as one of several Queensland private schools whose principals were being paid more than the state’s Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk.
