2022 VCE results review: Top performing schools in Victoria revealed

Victoria, Australia is home to a vibrant education system, with a diverse range of schools spread across the state. Their most recent academic performance was announced by the
Victorian Curriculum and Assessment Authority (VCAA), who released Victorian Certificate of Education (VCE) results in 2022. So if you ever wondered, 'What is the best school in Victoria by academic performance?' you're about to get your answer.

In this article, we look at the best performing schools in Victoria based on two metrics:

  • median VCE scores
  • the percentage of students receiving a VCE score of 40 and above.

While the latter indicates the proportion of students who have achieved the highest level of academic success, median VCE scores indicate the overall academic performance of a school.

These impressive results reflect Victorian schools’ continued commitment to academic excellence. They also highlight the high standard of education provided by the state's education system, which plays a crucial role in shaping students.

However, it is worth noting that academic performance is not the only metric for measuring school success. Other factors, such as student wellbeing, social skills and emotional development and extracurricular activities, are also important when choosing a school.
