Message from the Principal

Welcome to Box Hill Senior Secondary College. I would like to welcome all community members to consider us as a potential future school for your children. As a Years 9–12 Senior Secondary College, we are a diverse school community with student enrolments from a wide geographic area, including international students as well. The college has a renewed focus around high quality teaching and learning, linked to on-going student achievement and learning progress. Our curriculum offers all students with a large choice of academic and industry-based subjects and pathways programs to choose from. We have high expectations for academic success and achievement, while also providing extra-curricular programs such as the Specialist Sport Academies, instrumental music, entrepreneurship and student leadership opportunities. Our student-centred approach to learning allows all students to explore subjects and programs that will help them best prepare for their future.  

As the Executive Principal for Box Hill Senior Secondary College, I am committed to supporting all staff in their leadership development and growth so that all our students are supported to become resilient, creative and confident members of our learning community. We highly value student voice and provide students with on-going opportunities to build their understanding of the importance of social responsibility, planning for success, being active members of their community and in positively overcoming the challenges presented to them.
