Excellence in Sport Scholarship

The Excellence in Sport Scholarship at St Andrew’s Anglican College is designed for elite student-athletes on the Sunshine Coast entering Year 7 to Year 12. This competitive scholarship offers significant tuition fee remission for students who demonstrate exceptional talent at a regional, state, or national level in sports offered by the College. Beyond athletic prowess, successful candidates must exhibit the "DiamondStrong" values of commitment and respect, maintaining high academic standards while balancing rigorous training schedules. As part of our Future Ambitions program, recipients receive specialised support and mentoring to foster their growth as both students and athletes within a high-performance environment.

Eligibility

Year Level: Open to students entering Year 7 to Year 12.Athletic Calibre: Applicants must exhibit exceptional sporting abilities and provide evidence of participation at a Regional, State, or National level.Sporting Preference: Preference is given to students competing in sports that are currently played at St Andrew’s.Academic Commitment: Students must demonstrate a strong commitment to their school studies and maintain required academic standards.Character & Engagement: Applicants should show a passion for their sport and provide evidence of broad involvement in school life.Documentation Requirements:School reports from the previous two semesters.Latest NAPLAN results.Verification of sporting achievements and involvement.A character reference from a non-teacher (e.g., a coach or member of an external sporting association).Ongoing Eligibility: The scholarship is subject to an annual review by the Principal to ensure the student continues to meet the required sporting and academic expectations.
