Swan Christian College is a Christ-centred and student-centred school where all are encouraged to be the best they can be. We aim to be a community of personal growth where all members seek excellence and know God.
A place to grow
Swan Christian College is a place where growth is visible, holistically embracing body, mind, heart and spirit. All members of the community are encouraged to have a growth mindset and feel a strong sense of belonging and ownership.
We believe that engaging learning environments, where teachers care about the whole student including their emotional needs, lead to better academic outcomes and individual growth.
Ready for life beyond school
Our wellbeing program Living Well focuses on our students’ holistic development, beyond the traditional core curriculum. The program includes peer support, team building, leadership and resilience training, online safety and mental health education. The aim of the program is to equip students to flourish and achieve outstanding results, during their schooling life and beyond.
The College offers a wide range of pathways to support students on their learning journey. Whether students choose a general, vocational or ATAR pathway, their learning will be nurtured in a safe and engaging environment with rich extra-curricular and leadership opportunities. Extra-curricular opportunities include Fenceline Theatre Company, dance, music ensembles, sporting teams, media news production, Emergency Cadets and languages clubs.
The Swan Trade Training Centre, with its state-of-the-art facilities, offers quality trade training and hands-on learning in a supportive environment. The Centre prepares students in Years 11 and 12 for a trade career after school, offering certificate courses in Building and Construction, Metal Fabrication and Engineering, Electrotechnology and Hospitality.
Swanonline offers flexible online learning for students in Years 7-12. The program caters for all learning directions, including ATAR, and provides an excellent schooling solution for students who travel, live remotely or find attending a traditional classroom difficult.
Developing a servant heart
Swan Christian College seeks to develop a servant heart in our students through our Service Learning program.
Service Learning engages students emotionally, socially, physically and spiritually through a combination of classroom learning and hands-on exposure in the community. All our students, from Kindergarten to Year 12, participate in a wide range of Service Learning activities, including: tree planting, serving the elderly and preparing soup for the homeless. Students have the opportunity to participate in national and international Impact Trips to serve communities in Outback WA, Zambia and the Philippines. These trips have proven to be life changing, for both the communities and the students involved.
We seek to instil a passion for learning in our students that will equip them to make a positive contribution to the communities in which they live and work beyond school.
Swan Christian College is set in the Swan Valley,20 minutes from the Perth city centre. Fine food and produce suppliers, vineyards and private acreage surround the extensive College grounds.
