St Peters Lutheran College - Indooroopilly

Indooroopilly QLD, Brisbane City Central & Northern Suburbs

St Peters Lutheran College is a co-educational day and boarding school located in the Brisbane suburb of Indooroopilly. The College offers a comprehensive education experience for students from Prep to Year 12, with Boarding available from Year 6. St Peters has provided excellence in Christian co-education since 1945, and is one of Queensland’s leading independent schools.

Multiple Pathways & Infinite Opportunities

The curriculum and opportunities available at St Peters Indooroopilly are innovative and diverse. In the Primary Years (Prep – Year 6), students study the inquiry-based International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme (PYP). Their education is extended with a range of Pastoral Care activities, co and extra-curricular Sport and Music options, unique physical development initiatives, and Language and Art studies. These opportunities continue through Junior High (Years 7 – 9) and into the Senior School (Years 10 – 12).

As they progress, St Peters students are introduced to further innovative initiatives, like the Robotics program; the Duke of Edinburgh Award (DoE); Service Learning, where students commit themselves to community-focussed projects; and outdoor education, including the iconic five-week Ironbark experience at Crows Nest, Queensland, in Year 9. In the Senior years, students can choose the academic pathway they wish to take. Options include the Queensland Curriculum & Assessment Authority (QCAA) pathway; the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP); and Vocational Education and Training (VET).

Equipped for the Future

St Peters provides a high quality, holistic education. The emphasis on global understanding and international mindedness that stems from the International Baccalaureate’s PYP, and the IBDP, extends into the College’s co and extra-curricular options. The College’s motto, Plus Ultra (Ever Higher) permeates all activities, with students encouraged to get involved and achieve their personal best.

St Peters proudly offers a world-class Music and Performing Arts program, as well as a comprehensive Sport program. The College is a member of the Associated Independent Colleges (AIC) competition, for boys; the Queensland Girls Secondary Schools Sport Association (QGSSSA); and is home to the St Peters Western Swim Club.

Saints for Life

St Peters students are encouraged to be lifelong and life-wide learners—to be critical and creative thinkers who can manage their own learning and be able to work collaboratively with others. All who attend St Peters are welcomed into a caring community. Students are supported, motivated and given every opportunity to flourish as they go out into the rapidly changing world.
