Students in Kindergarten to Year 6 learn, lead and serve in a nurturing and supportive Christian environment.
We know each child by name, and they are cared for as individuals in our school. We help them to grow physically, intellectually, emotionally and spiritually. Primary School students benefit from a dedicated classroom teacher who can support their educational and personal needs.
Knowing they are valued and cared for, our Primary School students thrive throughout the journey and are well-prepared for the high school years.
At Bishop Tyrrell, learning experiences are diverse and interesting. We believe every student can find something they are passionate about and they are given the opportunity to excel in these things. Our Primary education program is designed to be the foundation of a lifelong love of learning.
The Primary School is located in the Broughton, Pearson and Housden buildings. Each area of the College has an allocated play area, though interaction between the year groups is encouraged at times.
All students can benefit from the College’s many facilities and amenities.
Most Primary School bell times align with Secondary, with the Primary School day ending at 3:00pm.
Students in Years 7 to 12 continue to learn, lead and serve as they prepare for life after school.
Building on the academic foundations established during our Primary School Program, Secondary students continue to grow physically, intellectually, emotionally and spiritually with the support of dedicated teachers and staff.
At Bishop Tyrrell, we watch the progression of our students from young children to young adults with pride. We consistently produce graduates who have good character, work ethic and drive. The High School journey is designed to help students reach their ultimate potential. Our focus is on academic performance and preparation for adulthood in the outside world.
The Bishop Tyrrell Secondary education program is tailored to meet the needs and ambitions of each student. We assist them in accomplishing their goals for post-schooling, whether that may be entry to university, TAFE or the workplace.
We offer a range of subject selections on campus for students in Years 9-12, and can offer distance education for additional subjects through Camden Haven High School, Sydney Distance Education School and NSW School of Languages.
Students in Years 7-12 also participate in our BYOD Program.
