MADALAH Indigenous Scholarships

Penrhos College

Penrhos is proud to partner with MADALAH to provide Secondary School Scholarships for Indigenous students from remote, regional and metropolitan areas in Western Australia. A MADALAH Scholarship offers a grant of $18,000 per academic year (*based on 2023 figures). The scholarships, along with ABSTUDY and parent contributions, cover tuition and boarding fees (approximately $50,000 per year). The Scholarship does not cover the provision of textbooks, IT equipment, pocket money or othervoluntary College activities including optional excursions, camps and tours. The College will waive the Family Confirming Fee (over $6,000) for MADALAH Scholarship recipients and cover 50% of the initial uniform costs.

Eligibility

Scholarships are open to students in Years 7-10 (Day or Boarding) for the remainder of their Secondary School studies at Penrhos. Where possible consideration may be given to entry into other years, but Year 7 is the preferred point of entry.
