Tranby College

Tranby College

Baldivis WA, Perth, South Western Suburbs

Tranby College is the school where you can grow to be the best you can be.

One of the most distinctive things that Tranby offers is commencing in 2021. Each student throughout our school will work on an educational goal program that is distinctive and personalised to them. This individual goal setting will be prepared and monitored in consultation with parents and teaching staff. These goals may be focused on activities in the school, but may also focus on learning beyond the school. This wholehearted commitment to the ‘whole child’ is exemplified in this co-operative goal setting. We want every student to succeed in their own way and with activities that are important and purposeful to each student, their families and the college. We want progress to be monitored through regular communication between home and the school. We want to assist a child or adolescent to seek and appreciate their world and where they want to create positive change for themselves. We want to celebrate success in both the home and school.

Our students are at the heart of everything we do, and we take pride in the quality of our teaching and learning programs. From Kindergarten to Year 12, our learning approaches adapt to cater for the diverse and changing needs of students of different ages. We deliver a full range of academic and vocational courses, coupled with our newly introduced STEM focus from Year 5, academic, sporting, service and achievement scholarships, as well as a comprehensive range of co-curricular activities. We offer a vast array of individual opportunities for your child’s education.

Our pastoral care system is a key to our success, with your child receiving daily support through teachers and mentors who are deeply invested in your child's success. Student wellbeing is further supported by your child's Head of House in Years 7–12, providing continuity and support across secondary years.

One of our distinctive differences is that we are a small school, committed to being a small school where every child is known. Geographically, we are surrounded by large schools which can be overwhelming for many students. Learning cannot take place unless children and adolescents feel safe and valued. This is a key feature of life at Tranby College. We want each student to be the best they can. This can occur in small schools, where students feel they have a place, feel they are appreciated, and they feel that their family is known and valued. These are distinctive features of Tranby College.

We are a small and close-knit community surrounded by open green spaces that retains the strength of a good independent school with a range of activities for your children and adolescents.

We are a school where each and every student is working on their own development through reflection, goal setting and review. These individual learning goals are what sets Tranby College apart in this area and in the larger Perth environment.

We invite you to come and see for yourself what makes Tranby College a wonderful school for your child.
