According to the 2018 edition of the Good Schools Guide, Bialik College is the best performing school in Victoria when it comes to proportion of study scores over 40. The independent school in the Eastern Metro region of Melbourne was the decisive winner, with 44 per cent of students achieving a score of 40+.

The Mac.Robertson Girls’ High School came in at second place with 36 per cent, and was one of two government schools (the other being Melbourne High School) to feature in the state-wide top five.

Eastern Metro-based Mount Scopus Memorial College finished third with 35 per cent, while Melbourne High and Yeshivah College (equal fourth) and Loreto Mandeville Hall Toorak and Shelford Girls’ Grammar (equal fifth) all hail from the South Metro region.
