Boarding at Glennie offers girls friendship, support and independence, with a close connection to family life: a home away from home. From Year 6 to Year 12, Glennie boarding offers the best accommodation and amenities in Toowoomba.
Each boarder in Year 6 to 11 has her own living environment; a modern roomette which is a flexible and cosy place that ensures her privacy. The boarding house configuration of roomettes, spacious common rooms, lounges and kitchens continues to encourage social interaction and development of lifelong friendships.
Year 12 boarders enjoy their own semi-independent living with their own room in a dedicated building complemented with shared lounge spaces, and kitchenettes.
Flexible boarding options are available for four and five day weekly boarding and a daily rate for short stays. For example, if families live relatively close to Toowoomba, but not close enough for their daughter to commute to school, weekly boarding is a desirable option; particularly if your daughter has early morning music practice or after school sports practice which can make commuting difficult.
If parents of day girls need to be away on business, there is a daily rate for boarding, so their daughter can be in the care of the School during the parents’ absence. Sibling discounts also apply.
There is a place for each girl in the Glennie boarding family. With a host of opportunities for all the different personalities, each Glennie girl has the chance to grow in confidence and to be accepted for who she is by the girls and the boarding team.
