I extend a warm invitation to prospective students, parents and teachers to join our exciting specialist science program at JMSS. We provide a rich science-based curriculum, and we also firmly believe in educating the 'whole person', developing leadership, initiative and perspective in our graduates. Our work is underpinned by UNESCO's four pillars of education - Learning to Know, Learning to Be, Learning to Do and Learning to Live Together. The close-knit, supportive and welcoming environment evident at JMSS is the result. We have strong working relationships with Monash University's Science and Education Faculties, and being co-located on the Clayton campus allows students to enjoy a variety of subjects based on contemporary research. Our laboratories and learning spaces are new, flexibly designed and ICT-rich. If you have a passion for the sciences, love a challenge and welcome every opportunity to learn, this is the school for you. Connect with us via Facebook and YouTube.

Favourite Subject: Mathematics and Physics
To me, JMSS feels like one big family. Instead of sharing genes, we share a passion. Spending three years of your life at school is enjoyable when you are learning fascinating things with like-minded students. My favourite subjects at school are mathematics and physics! I really enjoy everything logical that has a definite answer (other than physics' uncertainty principles of course). Not only do these subjects work hand in hand, but I have always loved problem solving which allows me to expand my current knowledge in everyday life. I believe science and mathematics allow us to see the world in a different perspective, as well as it holding the answers about our past and future.
Although science and mathematics may be what John Monash Science School specialises in, it also branches out into so much co-curricular to grow us as all-rounders, with music, sport, leadership and international opportunities.
