Small Enough To Care, Big Enough To Challenge

Arden is a vibrant Christian-based school, providing a positive learning and caring environment that inspires girls and boys to thrive. The School’s dedicated and caring classroom and specialist staff pay attention to the individual needs of every student, encouraging them to be the best they can be, ensuring that when students complete their education at Arden, they will have positive attitudes, sound values and skills to equip them for the future.

Girls and Boys Learning Together

The co-educational aspect of Arden ensures that learning is embedded in the everyday practices of the School. It is seen that girls and boys learning together exposes the children to the strengths of the other gender’s typical learning style. The children learn how they can support, complement and indeed enrich each other’s learning experiences.

Sound Values

The Christian ethos of the School is foundational to the pastoral care and nurturing of each student. Arden works in partnership with parents to create a learning community of respect and participation. Parents are the initial educators of the children and the School strives to inform and work with parents so they can support and encourage their child’s development and learning. Two-way communication is a feature of this partnership. The parent community is also very supportive and involved in the School’s activities. Parents are offered opportunities to assist in the classrooms, visit assemblies, join in with carnivals and share as a family. The School’s community atmosphere is a strong feature of Arden’s culture.

We are very proud of our 2017 HSC results, with Arden ranked 62nd school in NSW and 30% of students achieving an ATAR higher than 90. See for a full listing of 2017 HSC results.

Message from the Principal

Arden is one of the few co-educational, Pre-School to Year 12, non-selective Anglican schools in Sydney.

We see each child as an individual

As a parent who is considering entrusting your child into our care, we believe you have the right to expect that your child will be seen as an individual, nurtured and challenged to grow and develop to their potential.

Arden offers your child a well-rounded education. And while we deliver an outstanding academic education, our teachers focus on the holistic development of each student: students are mentally, physically, emotionally and spiritually challenged within a Christian environment.

We build a partnership with parents

We believe in the uniqueness of each and every child, made in the image of God. We also believe that it takes a community to raise that child – a special partnership between our parents, extended family, teachers and the wider Arden community. The strength of this partnership is reflected in the success of our students.

We are a thriving learning community

Arden is a vibrant learning community. Our teachers are highly skilled, passionate educators who focus on quality teaching and learning. Learning activities are student centred and strengths based, promoting personal responsibility and deep engagement. We want our students to become lifelong learners.

We also aim to foster in our graduates curiosity, courage and compassion so that they develop into individuals who engage with and positively impact the 21st Century world in which they live.

The best way to get to know us is to see us in action and so I warmly encourage you to join us at one of our Open Mornings, or on a tour.

- Graham Anderson (Principal).
